10 Indian women who were the first in their field

The history of India is full of women who have worked hard to eradicate the distinction of female males for their rights. Politics, art, science, law etc. came forward in the field. Today we are going to tell about some of the few Indian women who are the first women in their area-

1. Mother Teresa

 

Mother Teresa was born on August 26, 1910 in Spoja Nagar, Yugoslavia. Mother Teresa was a Catholic nun. Who took the citizenship of India in 1948. They established ‘Missionaries of Charity’ to look after the poor, orphans and patients. Which spread to 123 countries throughout their life span. In 1979 ‘Bharat Ratna’ was awarded ‘Nobel Peace Prize and the highest civilian honor in 1980’. He died on 15 September 1997. After his death Pope Jan Pal II gave him the title of saint.

2. Mithali Raj

The captain of the Indian women’s cricket team. This is the first woman to score double century in Test cricket. In 1999, Mithali started the game with a One Day International match. In which he scored 114 runs. He is the first woman cricketer to score half-centuries in seven one-day internationals.

3. Indira Gandhi

The name of Indira Gandhi, daughter of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, is not an acquaintance. It was the first woman Prime Minister of India who was the Prime Minister of India from January 1966 to March 1977. Then came the Prime Minister from January 1980 to 1984. 4. Kiran Bedi

6. Rishi Gopal Joshi

7. Arunima Sinha

Pratibha Patil

Pratibha Patil, who was born in Jalgaon, Maharashtra on 19 December 1934 studied law. They got married to Devi Singh Shekhawat. In the 60 year history of independent India, she became the first woman president of India.

9. Rita Faria

Rita Faria was born in 1945 in Mumbai. First place in the Miss World competition in 1966. After this he joined MBBS. Graduated and went to London for higher education. After marrying David Powell, she moved to Dublin.

10. Sushmita Sen

Born in Hyderabad on November 19, 1975, Sushmita won the title of Miss India and Universum Sundari in 1994. This is the first Indian woman to get the title of the universe beauty. In present times, it is a famous actress of Hindi films.
